Hollywood, Streaming Giants Strike for Movie Rights to FTX Saga
The story of the FTX collapse seems to have been written from fiction using fictional characters. But the story and those behind it are real, and streaming giants such as Amazon, Apple, Netflix, and Netflix are vying for the rights to tell the FTX story.

Numerous reports have indicated that Michael Lewis, a novelist and financial journalist is currently writing a book about the FTX saga. According to some reports, Lewis spent several months with Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF), the former CEO of FTX before the collapse.
According to the Hollywood Reporter “multiple projects [are] currently in the works about rise and fall crypto exchange.” Lewis is also known for creating financial thrillers. He wrote the popular stories “Moneyball,” The Big Short, and Flash Boys.
The Hollywood Reporter’s Mia Galuppo reports that Apple may be awarded the rights to Lewis’s story about FTX. Galuppo reports that “sources point to a deal with Apple in mid-seven-figures.”
Galuppo also stated that Graham Moore, a filmmaker, is currently adapting the FTX story. XTR, a film studio, is already in the Bahamas filming a documentary about FTX. The Information, a tech publication, also revealed that Vice Media is currently working on a documentary on the FTX fiasco.
Techcrunch reporter Ivan Mehta revealed that Amazon is currently working with the Russo Brothers (respected Marvel filmmakers) on Nov. 24. The Russos spoke out about the upcoming television film series, saying that it includes a lot of everything.
“This is the most brazen fraud ever committed. It crosses many sectors — celebrities, politics, academia and tech, as well as sex, drugs and the future modern finance,” Russos explained to Techcrunch. “An extremely mysterious figure with potentially dangerous motives is at the heart of it all. We want to know why.
