Sony Network Communications and Astar Network Launch a Joint Web3 Inccubation Program

Tokyo, Japan, 17 February 2023. ChainwireSony Network Communications inc., an operating company under the Sony Group, will host a Web3 Incubation Program together with Astar Network, a smart contract platform for multichain. Astar Network and Sony Network Communications will pool their resources and expertise to foster Web3 projects that focus on the utility and DAOs. The Web3 Incubation Program powered Sony Network Communications and Astar will be available from mid-March through mid-June. The program will open for applications starting February 17. Astar Foundation and Sony Network Communications will review all applications and select 10 to 15 cohorts. Astar and Sony will collaborate with Startale Labs (a Singapore-based company founded in 2012 by Sota Watanabe), to organize the incubator program. Sony Network Communications is looking at how blockchain technology could solve different problems in their industry. The Incubation program they have created with Astar Network allows them to quickly locate the right Web3 solutions. Sota Watanabe (CEO of Startale Labs) and Astar Network said, “We are happy to launch the Web3 Incubation program with Sony Network Communications. This company is part of the Sony Group and has been involved in NFT sector and other Web3 initiatives within their Group. It acts as a gateway for large companies to integrate with Astar Network. A demo day will be held in Tokyo at the Sony Group headquarters during Japan Blockchain Week. It will include: Direct connections and feedback from world-class Web3 companies like Web3 Foundation and Alchemy as well as free access and information sessions.
