YugaLabs will hire Beeple as an advisor once the acquisition is complete. YugaLabs first announced in March that it would acquire both the Cryptopunks NFT collections and the Meebits NFT collection from Larval Labs’ nonfungible pioneers. Matt Hall and John Watkinson, co-founders of Larval Labs, stated that they did not join Yuga as part the deal but that they saw in Yuga “the skill set and expertise that we were lacking in this space.”
